Job Requirements
- Exceptional skills in animating the human figure as well as non-humanoid characters, demonstrable through an outstanding demo reel.
- Experienced in leading and managing animation teams.
- Experience animating for games, with a proven track record on shipped titles.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the production pipeline, and able to take animations from prototyping stage to final product.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies and is able to identify and implement solutions to help enhance productivity within the studio.
- Extensive experience working in Maya (preferable) or equivalent 3D software.
- Extensive experience in Unreal Engine or other equivalent game engine.
- Excellent team and communication skills.
- Passion for making and playing innovative games.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player with a positive and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Creative Director, Lead Artist and Lead Engineer to set quality standards and create animations that fulfil the gameplay and aesthetic requirements of our projects.
- Communicate and work closely with the design and engineering teams to create and implement animation systems and create a fun and immersive experience.
- Manage the schedule and resources of the animation team and responsible for the quality of outputs as well as timely delivery of assigned tasks.
- Training and mentoring of the animation team to ensure they are able grow in their respective roles and fulfil the requirements of each project.
Plus
- Experience in scripting language.
- Experience as Lead Animator for products that require a high level of quality.
- Deep understanding of character rigging and the technical processes involved.
